Doris the Charlotte Dog
Hello, my name is Doris and I am the school dog here at Charlotte School. The Governors have allowed me to join the Charlotte team. They carefully thought about this decision to make sure that my presence at school is safe and successful. When I am not at school I live with Miss Pitman.
I am a Cockapoo and I was born on the 8th August 2017. I have been coming to school since I was a puppy and help support children with their social and emotional well-being.
I come into school about 3 days a week and visit classes, meet children at the school gate, play with children in my garden area and sometimes sit with children who may be upset. I enjoy lots of fusses and cuddles as well as being fed treats!
I was chosen to be Charlotte's school dog because I am hypoallergenic and very friendly, I LOVE people and I am very good with children. I love meeting everyone (children and parents), but only people that want me to say hello. I am always kept under close supervision, I stay in Miss Pitman’s office and only visit children when I am supervised by a member of staff.
Miss Pitman has completed all the necessary paperwork including a risk assessment. If you have any worries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact school and staff will be happy to discuss these with you.
I am easy to spot, I am the furry, four legged member of staff!
Love from
Doris
