Pupil Premium and Recovery Funding
Pupil Premium β What is it?
Pupil Premium funding is additional funding given to schools so that we can support our disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between these children and their classmates by drawing on evidence of effective practice.
Funding is based on children who have registered for a 'free school meal' at any point in the last 6 years (called the Ever6 count). This is different to the free school meal that all infant children are entitled to. Please check the 'free school meal' link to see if your child is eligible. The funding is also available to children that have been in care for more than six months and children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
If your child qualifies for free school meals, itβs important that you tell us β even if they have a packed lunch β as this enables us to claim Pupil Premium funding and therefore offer your child increased support. Please click the link below to apply.

Schools can choose how to spend their Pupil Premium money, as they are best placed to identify what would be of most benefit to the children who are eligible. Please see the document below, our Pupil Premium Strategy, to find out how we have spent our Pupil Premium money and the impact it has had.
Recovery Funding - What is it?
As a result of the pandemic every school is also receiving Recovery Premium funding to help children close the gaps in their learning linked to the impact of the pandemic. Objectives to achieve this are also covered with within our Pupil Premium Strategy.
