Charlotte School operates a safer recruitment process as part of our Recruitment Policy.
On all recruitment panels at least one member has undertaken Safer Recruitment Training.
The process checks the applicant's: identity, criminal record (enhanced DBS), mental and physical capacity, right to work in the U.K., professional qualification and seeks confirmation of the applicant’s experience and history through a detailed reference process.
We aim to ensure both safe and fair recruitment and selection of staff by:
- Attracting the best possible candidates to vacancies
- Ensuring that our recruitment process is fair and consistent for all
- Undertaking thorough checks to deter, identify and reject candidates who are unsuitable work with children.
